Expert urges Brits to be careful who they show their mobile to

Expert urges Brits to be careful who they show their mobile to Brits should be careful about who they show their mobile phone to, an expert has advised.

Recent research conducted by CPP (which provides customers with support and protection for their plastic cards, mobile phones, and identities) found that nowhere is sacred when it comes to mobile phone theft - handsets have even been stolen in churches.

John Walkley, head of CPP Phonesafe, believes that "if you’re going to be flashing your phone around, then it’s going to get stolen almost as likely as if you were flashing a wad of ten pound notes around down the street".

He said, "We need to make sure that we are aware of how much the phone is worth and what we do with it when we're using it. The average retail value of a mobile phone is well over £200 to replace.

"When you are using your phone you need to be mindful of who is about you when you’re using it - the same way you do when you’re using a cash card at an ATM. It’s worth a lot of money."
