Sex and the City arrives on iTunes
Sex and the City will be available to download on iTunes after Apple and TV company HBO struck a new deal.
The two companies hope to cash in on the hype surrounding the Sex and the City movie, which debuts in the US at the end of this month.
All 94 episodes from the show's six season run will be available through iTunes at $1.99 each.
Other new HBO iTunes shows will include The Wire and Flight of the Conchords.
However, The Sopranos, Deadwood, and Rome will command 'premium' prices of $2.99 per episode.
The deal seems to mark a change in strategy for Apple which had refused to introduce variable pricing for iTunes TV shows in the past.
Only last year NBC Universal withdrew its shows from iTunes because Apple was unwilling to charge higher prices for more popular shows.
There are industry rumours that Apple supremo Steve Jobs is undervaluing video content in order to sell more iPods.
