T-Mo comes up with text message blocking service

T-Mo comes up with text message blocking service A text blocking service for mobile owners has been introduced by T-Mobile.

CrunchGear website has reported that the service allows you to add filters to incoming messages and prevent certain numbers from sending SMSs.

Apparently these filters allow customers to manage the delivery of text messages and e-mails to their handset but "will not block regular text messages".

To access the service users should go to the T-Mobile site for further details.

CrunchGear recently carried a news story about a lawsuit filed in Washington state arguing that T-Mobile should let customers turn off text messaging altogether.

Many mobile customers have to pay for text messages that they regret signing up for - like daily jokes and horoscopes - as advertisers aggressively target consumers who use mobile phones.

Contacting the companies who send these messages to advise them that you no longer wish to receive them can be difficult, with the price of the phone call needed to sort out the problem often generating more money for the firm involved.
