T-Mobile trials limitless wireless VoIP

T-Mobile trials limitless wireless VoIP T-Mobile has announced plans to trial limitless wireless voice over IP (VoIP).

The firm will try out the offer in the US with a view to a wider rollout if it proves successful.

Under the deal, customers will pay an additional monthly charge to make voice calls over the internet from home.

There will be no limit on the number or duration of the calls, but they will have to buy a router.

The move could have important ramifications for fixed line phone providers.

VoIP is seen as a major challenge to the companies that own and maintain fixed line networks, which is why many are investing in the technology themselves.

T-Mobile VoIP trials

Aha, so that''s why they don''t allow VoIP on their Web''n''Walk ''Plus'' price plan.

They''ll cut off their customers for using other VoIP providers but it''s OK if we pay them to use their version. Does this break anti-competition laws?

Surely the whole point of VoIP is to save money and make free PC-to-PC calls.

I intend to tell them what I think of this disgraceful scandal and urge others to do the same.

That''s right, I''ll have to say it - SHENANIGANS! I declare shenanigans on T-Mobile.
